After buying a vehicle from a nearby Ford dealership in Akron,15,000 miles later the entire transmission in my vehicle needed replacement. The vehicle only had 53,000 miles on it when I bought it. The cost of the transmission from Ford would be $4,200. Then I called the best transmission shop in Akron, Waterloo Transmission. Jim Millard, the owner, told me the cost would be $3,700. That is $500 less than the dealer! And even though Waterloo Transmission was less expensive than the Ford dealership in Akron. And even though that cost was still more than I could afford, I located a donor transmission that Waterloo did not hesitate to install for me. And when all was said and done, I saved $2,200 by picking up the phone and talking to Waterloo Transmission. I would recommend this Akron transmission shop to anyone!

Waterloo Transmission really helped me out by figuring out what the problem was with my transmission. The owner of the shop in Akron was so friendly, down-to-earth, helpful, and realistic about my situation. The service adviser, Karen, also was so friendly and had such great communication skills. The team at the shop worked so hard to offer what would be the most cost-effective solution for my situation. They only recommended what needed to be fixed, and in no time I was back on the roads of the greater Akron Ohio area.
